Wren Building Contractors Ltd are part of Hampshire County Council’s Trading Standards ‘Buy With Confidence’ scheme. This means we have been fully audited by a Trading Standards Officer to ensure our practices are legal, honest and fair.
We have been checked for trustworthiness and compliance with consumer protection laws, the correct and proper insurances, providing clear pricing information and offering good customer service. In order to stay in the scheme we are also regularly monitored to ensure our high standards are maintained.

- At https://www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk/ you can find a trader who has been approved by Hampshire County Council’s Trading Standards.
- Approval by Trading Standards is only given after businesses have passed a set of tailored background checks. Membership of the scheme is not given lightly – amongst other checks, each applicant has their complaints history reviewed and will receive a visit from Trading Standards. Good references are required from previous customers and applicants must agree to abide by the scheme’s code of conduct (on the Buy with Confidence website), which requires them to follow the letter and spirit of the law.
- You can search for small job friendly approved traders who are happy to consider work/orders for £75 or under, such as replacing tap washers, replacing a few roof tiles, cleaning out gutters or any of those other small jobs that some traders refuse to do.
- The Buy With Confidence scheme includes more than 5,000 businesses providing a wide range of products and services.
- If things do go wrong, member businesses must comply with relevant legislation, resolve any consumer complaints in a fair and timely manner and understand their obligations to consumers.
